Job summary

Cloudwerx in Adelaide, Australia, is hiring a Project Manager to lead Snowflake Platform and Technical Delivery. You will drive end-to-end data platform projects from discovery through production, balancing scope, costs, and timelines while applying strong Snowflake know-how.

You’ll work with architects, data engineers and migration leads to shape designs, review estimates, ensure security, performance and cost efficiency, and manage client relationships throughout delivery.

We’re Hiring: Project Manager – Snowflake Platform & Technical Delivery

We are modern Salesforce, Snowflake & AI consultancy helping organisations deliver scalable, secure and high-performing cloud and data solutions.

We’re looking for a technically strong Project Manager to lead the delivery of enterprise data platforms on Snowflake, covering data migration, ingestion and transformation through to production operation.

The Role

You’ll be accountable for delivery outcomes, team performance and client relationships, while bringing strong practical Snowflake knowledge to technical and delivery decisions.

Working closely with architects, migration leads and data engineers, you’ll assess solution designs, challenge estimates and guide decisions around security, performance, architecture and operating costs.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Owning the end-to-end delivery plan, including scope, milestones, dependencies, budget and resource forecasting
• Leading multidisciplinary technical teams and managing priorities, capacity, performance and delivery impediments
• Acting as the primary delivery contact for clients and leading progress reviews, workshops and escalations
• Working with technical leads to review Snowflake architecture, ingestion and transformation patterns
• Guiding decisions around warehouse sizing, performance and Snowflake consumption
• Coordinating Snowflake environments, access controls, deployment, monitoring and release readiness
• Overseeing data migration, modelling, pipeline testing and reconciliation
• Managing risks, issues, actions and key technical and commercial decisions
• Controlling scope changes and assessing effort, cost and delivery impacts
• Tracking delivery progress and Snowflake consumption forecasts
• Leading migration rehearsals, cutover, rollback readiness and stabilisation
• Ensuring client approvals, knowledge transfer and a controlled transition into support

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience leading complex technology or data platform delivery through production release
• Proven accountability for scope, budget, schedule and quality
• Strong hands-on Snowflake experience, including enterprise implementations or migrations
• Good understanding of Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, database/schema design and workload management
• Experience with Snowflake access controls, performance analysis, warehouse sizing and consumption monitoring
• Strong SQL and data engineering knowledge
• Experience with ETL/ELT, APIs, relational databases, data quality, migration testing and production cutover
• Proven experience managing technical teams, including capacity planning, coaching and performance management
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage difficult conversations and communicate effectively with both executives and engineers
• Strong commercial judgement around effort, costs, commitments and change requests
• Experience with delivery governance, testing, release practices and secure handling of sensitive data

Nice to Have

• Background in Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting or Platform Implementation
• Snowflake and/or Project Management certifications
• Experience with dbt, Python, cloud storage and orchestration tools
• Familiarity with Salesforce as a source or downstream integration platform
• Experience with DB2, SQL Server or complex legacy systems
• Experience delivering solutions within regulated environments
