Job summary

Cloudwerx, a modern Salesforce, Snowflake & AI consultancy, seeks an experienced Data Migration Lead to plan and deliver complex enterprise migrations. You’ll translate business requirements into an executable plan and guide engineering through discovery, development, testing, cutover and stabilisation.

You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, architects and delivery partners to ensure migrations are accurate, secure, auditable and successfully delivered.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex enterprise data migration workstreams through to production cutover.
• Strong SQL, ETL/ELT, data profiling, mapping, cleansing and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Salesforce migration requirements and modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience handling regulated data and ensuring data privacy/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the migration delivery plan with scope, sequencing, milestones and resources.
• Lead data discovery, profiling to identify data-quality issues and migration risks.
• Oversee source-to-target mappings and transformation rules for migrations.
• Coordinate migrations to Salesforce and historical loads into Snowflake.
• Guide cross-functional teams across application, integration, platform and business units.
• Establish reconciliation controls and acceptance criteria for sign-off.
• Manage risks, issues and decisions affecting scope/schedule/data integrity.
• Lead migration rehearsals, cutover planning, rollback readiness and stabilisation.
• Apply controls for data access, lineage and auditability.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer to operational support.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Migration Lead to lead the planning and delivery of complex enterprise data migration initiatives.

The Role

In this hands‑on leadership role, you’ll translate business requirements into an executable migration plan and guide the engineering team through discovery, development, testing, cutover and stabilisation.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, architects, implementation partners and technical teams to ensure migration outcomes are accurate, secure, auditable and successfully delivered.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Owning the migration delivery plan, including scope, sequencing, dependencies, milestones and resource requirements
• Leading legacy data discovery and profiling to identify data-quality issues, business rules and migration risks
• Overseeing source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, cleansing approaches and migration specifications
• Guiding operational data migrations into Salesforce and historical data migrations into Snowflake
• Coordinating migration engineering across application, integration, platform and business teams
• Establishing reconciliation controls, acceptance criteria and evidence required for business sign-off
• Managing migration risks, issues and decisions, including escalation of impacts on scope, schedule or data integrity
• Leading migration rehearsals, cutover planning, rollback readiness and post‑migration stabilisation
• Applying appropriate controls for sensitive data, access, lineage and auditability
• Coordinating knowledge transfer and transition into operational support

What We’re Looking For

• Experience leading complex enterprise data migration workstreams through to production cutover
• Strong understanding of data profiling, mapping, transformation, cleansing, reconciliation and testing
• Experience with Salesforce migration requirements and modern cloud data platforms
• Strong SQL and ETL/ELT expertise, with the ability to review technical designs and resolve delivery issues
• Strong ability to coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders and multiple delivery partners
• Clear communication skills, particularly when explaining data risks and driving decisions with non-technical stakeholders
• Experience handling sensitive or regulated data

Nice to Have

• Experience with IBM Cúram, DB2 or similarly complex legacy platforms
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Salesforce Bulk APIs and large‑volume migration patterns
• Experience working within regulated industries or public‑sector organisations
