Job summary

PGMG Project Management Services & Support is seeking a project management professional for a 10-month contract based in Amberly, Queensland. The role requires NV1 security clearance and a Bachelor or Diploma in the field.

You will support project, product and governance activities, ensuring timely documentation and milestone delivery. Weekly structure is 40 hours Monday to Friday, with potential travel to support project activities.

Qualifications

  • Provide guidance to project and product leadership.
  • Support contract administration, PO management, invoicing and budgeting.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting and cost estimates.

Deliverables

  • Effective support to project, product and governance activities.

  • Build and sustain productive relationships with project teams, industry partners, capability managers and support organisations.

  • Provide timely advice and coordination support to project and product leadership.
  • Support commercial and financial management activities including contract administration, purchase order management, invoice processing, budget monitoring, financial reporting and procurement activities.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting and cost estimate development activities for approved and unapproved project scope.
  • Support the development of product management, support system and sustainment planning artefacts to inform future capability transitions and life-of-type management activities.
  • Assist with the identification, management and reporting of risks, issues, opportunities and dependencies.

Weekly Hours:

  • Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week, with options for work from home on Friday's - depending on task requirements.

The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. The adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

PRMG Level 4

Defines, documents and carries out small projects or sub-projects (typically less than six months, with limited budget, limited interdependency with other projects, and no significant strategic impact), alone or with a small team, actively participating in all phases. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Applies appropriate project management methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate. Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensures that own projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded.
