Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is advising a Sydney architectural studio seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead large multi-residential projects from design development through construction. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and design excellence.

The role requires registration as an Architect (or progress toward registration), 8+ years in Australian practice, and strong Revit documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in an Australian architectural practice.
• Strong background delivering multi-residential apartment projects.
• Excellent Revit documentation skills.
• Solid understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards, and local planning requirements.
• Proven experience coordinating consultants and managing project delivery.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multi-residential projects from DA through to construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Produce and review high-quality documentation and technical detailing.
• Ensure projects comply with Australian Building Codes and relevant standards.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, and deliverables.
• Mentor and support graduate and intermediate architects.
• Attend client meetings, site inspections, and contractor coordination meetings.
• Resolve design and technical challenges throughout project delivery.
• Maintain high design standards while ensuring commercial project outcomes.

Due to a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Architect to play a key role in leading multi-residential projects from design development through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong architect who enjoys managing complex projects, leading consultant coordination, and mentoring junior team members while working on premium apartment developments.
