Evolution Mining is seeking a Project Geologist (Resource Definition) at Cowal to drive resource growth through drilling, modelling and geological interpretation. You will turn data into robust 3D models and lead drilling programs across underground/open pit environments while working on a family-friendly roster.

Based at Cowal Operations, reporting to the Senior Resource Definition Geologist, you’ll mentor graduates, collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to expanding mine life and assets

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geosciences.
• 5+ years geology experience in hard rock or metalliferous mining.
• Strong capability in geological interpretation, resource definition and 3D geological modelling.

Responsibilities

• Turn drilling, geological and geochemical data into robust 3D geological models that support resource growth and future mining decisions.
• Deliver successful drilling programs by coordinating contractors, managing budgets and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Influence future resource opportunities through geological interpretation, target generation and resource definition activities.
• Build capability within the team by mentoring graduate and developing geologists and sharing technical knowledge.
• Gain unique exposure to the full mining lifecycle, from resource definition through to deposits being mined.
