Job summary

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree (Civil, Electrical or related) from an Australian university, or recognised overseas equivalent.
• Experience using CMMS — essential.

• Strong data handling and asset data structuring skills.
• Knowledge of road, bridge and traffic infrastructure.
• Current, valid Australian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Set up and refine tunnel asset data and maintenance plans within SAP S/4HANA.
• Use and manipulate existing asset data to improve accuracy, structure and usability.
• Develop and generate maintenance work orders from refined asset data.
• Support broader road, bridge and traffic infrastructure delivery and maintenance objectives.

Full-time, 40 hrs/week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer to join a major NSW state government transport infrastructure program, supporting the set-up of tunnel asset data and maintenance plans in SAP S/4HANA. You'll work with existing asset data, refining and manipulating it to build accurate asset information and maintenance plans, generate work orders, and improve overall system usability.

This role suits someone who's equally comfortable with hands-on engineering fundamentals and structured data/systems work — you'll be shaping how critical tunnel infrastructure is tracked and maintained going forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and refine tunnel asset data and maintenance plans within SAP S/4HANA
• Use and manipulate existing asset data to improve accuracy, structure and usability
• Develop and generate maintenance work orders from refined asset data
• Support broader road, bridge and traffic infrastructure delivery and maintenance objectives
• Prepare technical documentation and specifications where required

About You

• Four-year engineering degree (Civil, Electrical or related) from an Australian university, or recognised overseas equivalent
• Experience using and developing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) — essential
• Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) strongly desired
• Strong data handling skills — comfortable manipulating and structuring asset data sets
• Knowledge of materials, equipment and techniques used in road, bridge and traffic infrastructure
• Current, valid Australian driver's licence

Contract Details

• Hours: Up to 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (excl. breaks) — no overtime paid; less than 6 hours worked is treated as a half day
• Notice period: 1 week
• Rate: $800–$1,000 per day (excl. super), dependent on experience
