Job summary

SIMPEC Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer SMP for its mining construction team at Alcoa Pinjarra to oversee and facilitate day-to-day engineering support. This role will commence asap and involve daily drive-in/drive-out with Monday–Friday schedule (occasional Saturday).

Responsibilities include implementing procurement/construction elements, resolving technical issues, creating work/test packs, and monitoring equipment specs, KPIs, and productivity to align with program and budget.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mining construction, with structural steel erection, mechanical and piping installation.
• Experience managing RFIs and TQs throughout a project.
• Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, coordinate, and expedite procurement and construction elements for the designated work area.
• Identify and resolve technical engineering issues arising on the project.
• Create work packs, test packs, estimations and site variations.
• Develop and monitor equipment specifications for each construction stage.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and analyse productivity against program and budget.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
