Job summary

Georges River Council is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the delivery of building, civil and community infrastructure projects in the Georges River area. You will manage projects from concept through procurement, construction and completion, working with contractors, consultants and government agencies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and quality outcomes.

The role requires strong budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a focus on community assets

Qualifications

• Experience leading building, civil and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of procurement strategies and contract delivery models.
• Proven budgeting, financial management and cost control.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with government agencies and community groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for reports and submissions.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards and WHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from concept to completion across design, procurement and construction.
• Ensure scope, budget, quality and time objectives are met.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and government agencies.
• Prepare reports, briefings and funding submissions for senior management.
