Job summary

Hindmarsh in Canberra seeks an experienced Project Engineer to oversee delivery on large building projects across industrial, residential and education sectors. You will manage subcontractors, develop programmes, and implement procurement strategies to meet time, cost and quality targets while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience as a Project Engineer on large building construction projects.
• Relevant qualification in a field of study.
• Experience in residential, education, or data center projects advantageous.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors and service suppliers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain construction programmes and schedules for timely delivery.
• Implement the procurement strategy to source materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Practice value engineering to identify cost-saving measures without sacrificing quality.
• Ensure project delivery meets time, cost, quality, customer satisfaction and HSE targets.
