Downer Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for our Water team, based in Walloon and/or Fortitude Valley, QLD. You will provide technical expertise to deliver water and wastewater construction projects across SE Queensland with a proactive safety approach.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager, you will manage subcontractors, support planning and cost forecasting, and drive quality and constructability improvements in a collaborative environment.

Formación

• Civil, Mechanical and/ or Structural Engineering Qualification.
• At least three years of project engineering experience in water or wastewater in SE Queensland.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Experience developing scopes of work and subcontract agreements.
• Experience budgeting, budgeting reporting and financial management.
• Experience developing and managing project schedules.
• Strong focus on quality outcomes in project delivery.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing project environments.

Responsabilidades

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Water team based in Walloon and/or Fortitude Valley, QLD.

Key responsibilities include:

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Civil, Mechanical and/ or Structural Engineering Qualification
• At least three years of project engineering experience within the water or wastewater industry in South East Queensland
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Experience developing scopes of work and subcontract agreements
• Demonstrated financial management, budgeting and reporting experience
• Experience developing and managing project schedules
• A strong focus on quality outcomes in project delivery
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a changing project environment
