Job summary

EIRE Constructions in NSW seeks an experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction works on major water projects. You will work with the Project Manager, Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong experience in civil construction with reinforced concrete.
  • Experience in water infrastructure or treatment plant projects.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day engineering activities across civil works packages.
  • Coordinate construction of reinforced concrete structures, tanks, basins and foundations.
  • Oversee formwork, steel fixing, concrete pours, curing and QA hold points.
  • Support bulk earthworks, excavation, backfilling and site prep.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
  • Assist with subcontractor scope development, tendering and procurement scheduling.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Prepare and manage QA documentation including ITPs and inspection records.
  • Support construction planning, sequencing and methodology development.
  • Monitor progress and assist with cost and project controls.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and Australian Standards.

We are seeking an experiencedProject Engineerto join our delivery team on a major water projects, with a strong emphasis oncivil works delivery and complex reinforced concrete structures. This role will support the successful delivery of critical infrastructure includingwater retaining concrete structures, earthworks, pipelines, and associated civil components that form part of a water treatment facility.

About the Role

As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery ofcivil construction works, with a particular focus onlarge-scale concrete structures and water-retaining elements. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day engineering activities across civil works packages
  • Coordinating construction ofreinforced concrete structures, including tanks, basins and foundations
  • Overseeingformwork, steel fixing, concrete pours, curing processes, and QA hold points
  • Supporting bulk earthworks, excavation, backfilling, and site preparation works
  • Coordinatingprocurement of materials, concrete supplies, reinforcement, formwork systems, and subcontract packages
  • Assisting with subcontractor scope development, tendering support, and procurement scheduling
  • Interpreting drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Preparing and managing QA documentation including ITPs, checklists, and inspection records
  • Supporting construction planning, sequencing, and methodology development
  • Monitoring progress, reporting, and assisting with cost and project controls
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements, Australian Standards, and project specifications

About You

You are a hands-on engineer who thrives in the delivery ofcomplex concrete civil structuresand understands the importance of coordination between design, procurement, and site execution.

You will ideally have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong experience incivil construction with a focus on reinforced concrete structures
  • Proven involvement inwater infrastructure or treatment plant projects
  • Solid understanding of concrete construction methodology (formwork, reinforcement, pours, curing, QA)
  • Experience in procurement activities including supplier coordination and subcontract package management
  • Ability to interpret civil and structural drawings and specifications
  • Strong QA documentation experience (ITPs, inspections, quality assurance systems)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders
