Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering the HumeLink East transmission project in regional New South Wales. As Project Engineer in the Assembly and Erection team, you will support tower assembly and erection across the alignment, coordinating fabrication, transport and site activities to ensure timely delivery.

This hands-on role offers exposure to a major infrastructure program and opportunities for professional growth within a Tier 1 contractor with strong safety, quality and delivery standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil or structural engineering projects.
• Background in structural assembly, steelwork or transmission construction.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication across site, technical and commercial teams.
• Tertiary qualification in civil or structural engineering, or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of tower assembly and erection work packages.
• Coordinate structural sequencing between fabrication, transport and site erection.
• Monitor quality, safety and compliance during erection activities.
• Identify and resolve delivery risks with site and engineering teams.

Project Information

HumeLink East is a joint venture between ACCIONA and Genus, delivering 225 kilometres of 500kV transmission line for Transgrid between Bannaby and Wondalga in regional New South Wales. The project includes almost 460 transmission towers and an upgrade to the Bannaby substation, forming a nationally significant addition to the state's electricity transmission network.

About the Opportunity

As Project Engineer within the Assembly and Erection team, you will support the delivery of transmission tower construction across the HumeLink East alignment. You will work with site teams to coordinate structural assembly, monitor construction sequencing and help resolve delivery issues as towers move from fabrication through to erection. This is hands-on exposure to a major linear infrastructure program, delivered through a joint venture model with ACCIONA and Genus. You will build your technical understanding of structural delivery while contributing to one of the largest transmission projects underway in New South Wales.
