Job summary

Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Projects team and deliver a diverse portfolio of airfield infrastructure across the QAL network. Working with the Engineering Manager - Airfield Infrastructure, you will contribute to planning, procurement, delivery and commercial management to support safe and efficient operations.

You will coordinate contractors and stakeholders, monitor progress, manage costs and contribute to governance and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to contractor management, contract administration and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Support airfield infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Assist with project planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial management.
• Monitor project progress, risks, quality and reporting requirements.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across operational, technical and regulatory environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and project governance.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Project Engineer to join our Projects team and help deliver a diverse portfolio of airfield infrastructure projects across the QAL network. Working closely with the Engineering Manager - Airfield Infrastructure, you'll contribute to the planning, procurement, delivery and commercial management of projects that support safe and efficient airport operations.

What you'll be doing

• Support airfield infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.

About you

You are a proactive engineering professional with strong project coordination skills, sound technical judgement and the ability to build effective relationships in a complex operational environment.

You'll Ideally Have

• Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to contractor management, contract administration and project controls.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and prioritisation skills.
• A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
