Job summary

Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is seeking a full-time Airport Operations Supervisor for Mount Isa. The successful candidate will lead our Aerodrome Reporting team, ensure high standards, and maintain safe, efficient airport operations daily in Mount Isa.

  • Building effective relationships with airlines, contractors, tenants, regulators and other key stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, safety and service outcomes.

An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a full-time Airport Operations Supervisor to join our Mount Isa team.

The Airport Operations Supervisor oversees airside safety, security, compliance, wildlife management, environmental obligations, and emergency response activities. The role combines operational airport duties, people leadership, and regulatory compliance responsibilities.

Role

Vidu joined Mount Isa Airport Pty Ltd (MIAPL) as an Aviation Regulatory Compliance Officer, and has since moved internally into a more senior role at Townsville Airport Pty Ltd. Vidu shares her experience working at MIAPL below:

How will you make an impact?

As the Airport Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in keeping Mount Isa Airport safe, secure and operational every day. Leading our Aerodrome Reporting team, you'll oversee airside safety, security, compliance, wildlife management and emergency response activities, ensuring the airport operates to the highest regulatory and operational standards. Through strong leadership, proactive risk management and a commitment to continuous improvement, you'll help deliver a safe and efficient airport experience for all users.
