Job summary

WSP’s Mining team in Adelaide is seeking a Project Engineer who can move from pure design into broader project and package management, owning scopes, coordinating inputs, and collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll build a career on the delivery side, liaising with project managers to manage cost, schedule and progress, and contribute to technical reviews while maintaining a solutions-focused mindset across multiple scopes.

Qualifications

• Background as a design engineer (mechanical, civil, structural or similar).
• Experience on mining or heavy industry projects.
• Interest in moving into project engineering / package management.
• Ability to coordinate people and deliver outcomes, not just designs.
• Strong communication and practical, solutions-focused mindset.
• Comfortable working across multiple scopes and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of small to medium mining and infrastructure projects.
• Manage discrete work packages from early scope through to delivery.
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary design teams.
• Work closely with Project Managers to track cost, schedule and progress.
• Engage with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has come from a technical engineering background and is keen to build their career on the delivery side, owning scopes, coordinating packages, and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
