Job summary

WSP's Mining team in Adelaide is growing, and we’re seeking a Project Engineer who is ready to move from design into broader project and package management. You will own scopes, coordinate packages, and work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

This role focuses on delivering mining and infrastructure projects, tracking cost, schedule and progress while ensuring quality outcomes. It offers a clear path from design into project delivery within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Background as a design engineer in mechanical, civil, or structural fields.
• Experience on mining or heavy industry projects.
• Interest in moving into project engineering / package management.
• Ability to coordinate people and deliver outcomes.
• Strong communication and practical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of small to medium mining and infrastructure projects.
• Manage discrete work packages from early scope through to delivery.
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary design teams.
• Work closely with Project Managers to track cost, schedule and progress.
• Engage with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical reviews and ensure quality outcomes.

What you’ll do:

WSP’s Mining team in Adelaide is growing, we're looking for a Project Engineer who is ready to step out of pure design and into a broader project and package management role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has come from a technical engineering background and is keen to build their career on the delivery side, owning scopes, coordinating packages, and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

• Support the delivery of small to medium mining and infrastructure projects
• Manage discrete work packages from early scope through to delivery
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary design teams
• Work closely with Project Managers to track cost, schedule and progress

About you:

• Background as a design engineer (mechanical, civil, structural or similar)
• Experience working on mining or heavy industry projects
• Strong interest in moving into project engineering / package management
• Able to coordinate people and deliver outcomes, not just produce designs
• Solid communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Comfortable working across multiple scopes and priorities
