Job summary

CPB Contractors Pty is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle delivery of a hyperscale data centre project in Melbourne, coordinating construction, MEP integration and commissioning.

You will lead large, multi-disciplinary teams and drive programme, performance and safe outcomes, with accountability across time, cost and quality.

This role offers long-term opportunities within a global data centre builder with exposure to high-profile clients in the AI-enabled growth era.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of building services integration and MEP environments.

Responsibilities

CPB Contractors is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major data centre project in Melbourne, supporting hyperscale and enterprise clients driving the next wave of digital and AI-enabled growth.

This is not a maintenance role. You will drive construction, MEP integration and commissioning across a complex, high value build, leading large teams and setting the pace on programme, performance and outcomes.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle delivery of a hyperscale data centre, ensuring safe, efficient and high quality outcomes.

• Lead end to end project delivery across time, cost, quality and safety
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across construction, MEP and commissioning
• Drive programme, sequencing and interface management across multiple work packages
• Oversee subcontractors and trade partners to ensure performance and alignment
• Manage key stakeholder relationships across client, design and commercial teams
• Lead delivery through testing, commissioning and practical completion
• Ensure strong governance, reporting and commercial performance
• Build and lead high performing teams, driving accountability and outcomes

About You

• Degree qualified in engineering, construction or related discipline
• Proven experience delivering data centre or mission critical projects
• Strong understanding of MEP intensive environments and building services integration
• Experience managing complex, multi package projects at scale
• Commercially astute, with strong cost, risk and contract management capability
• Confident leader with the ability to drive performance across large teams
