Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking an experienced Supervisor to join the team delivering a major data centre project in Melbourne. This site-based role will coordinate day-to-day construction activities, lead trades and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard.

Data centre projects require proactive planning, strong relationships on site, and a practical approach to solving issues.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction works and keeping people, programme and quality aligned on a busy project.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and ability to build productive working relationships on site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors, keeping fronts productive and aligned to programme.
• Maintain a visible site presence, address issues before they impact delivery.
• Plan ahead by reviewing upcoming works and resource requirements.
• Monitor quality of works to meet project standards and client expectations.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineers and other Supervisors to achieve milestones and outcomes.
• Champion a positive safety culture and ensure safe work practices on site.
• Take ownership of area, make decisions and support the team to deliver.
