Job summary

Glencore's Bulga Open Cut in NSW invites applications for a Project Coordinator to join the Engineering team. Reporting to the Statutory Electrical Engineer, you will support electrical infrastructure, mining fleet, gas drainage, and plant processes, focusing on safety, reliability and performance.

You will plan resources, drive continuous improvement, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of safety and career development.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Statutory Electrical Engineer, this role will be responsible for:

• Support and promote continuous improvement to the mines Electrical Infrastructure, mining fleet, Gas Drainage, Tailings Relocation & Water Management Systems, and Coal Handling & Preparation Plant.

• Provide advice and support across the complex relevant to your professional area.

• Actively investigate enhancements to standards, procedures, and processes in areas of expertise that achieves improvements in safety, reliability, performance, job satisfaction and productivity

• Assist with planning and coordination of resources within area of responsibility.

• Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.

About you:

• Possess or currently studying to gain tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering and have relevant industry experience.

• Have a strong focus on innovation, to ensure enhancements to plant, procedures and processes that achieve improvements in performance, safety, job satisfaction and productivity.

• You are able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• You have a driven personality, are self-motivated and a high-level communicator.

• You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
