Help turn strategy into action at the Rural Fire Service.
Join the Strategy & Program Management Office (SPMO) as a Project Coordinator and play a key role in supporting the delivery of initiatives that strengthen the RFS and the communities we serve. Working across multiple projects and with stakeholders from across the organisation, you’ll help keep projects on track through effective coordination, clear reporting, sound governance and proactive management of risks, issues and competing priorities.
This is an opportunity for an organised, solutions-focused professional who enjoys bringing people, information and activities together to make things happen. You’ll contribute to improving project delivery practices, building consistency across the organisation and ensuring project teams have the information and support they need to succeed. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, take pride in getting the details right and want your work to contribute to a meaningful community purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
Our ideal candidate is a highly organised, proactive and collaborative professional who can coordinate multiple projects and competing priorities in a busy environment while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, accountability and delivery. You will have sound project coordination skills, including managing documentation, schedules, risks, actions, governance processes and reporting, along with the judgement to identify issues, resolve problems and elevate matters when required. You will be a skilled communicator, build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and be confident using your project management skills across a range of projects. Initiative, adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement will be skills you bring to our busy and friendly team focused on supporting initiatives that deliver positive outcomes for RFS members and the communities we serve.
