Job summary

Marchese Partners | Life3A, a global architecture and interior design practice based in North Sydney, invites a Project Coordinator/Architectural Documenter to join the team. You will support the Project Architect with documentation from inception to completion, guiding Design Development, Tender, and Construction phases.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of Australian studio experience, a degree or diploma in Architecture, and strong coordination of structural and services, with solid NCC and

Qualifications

  • 5 years of studio experience in architecture in Australia.
  • Experience in multi-residential/Class 2 or 3 buildings.
  • Experience in seniors living industry is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of NCC and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design Documentation: Deliver documentation for Design Development, Tender, and Construction stages.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, authorities, and consultants to ensure coordination and compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Resolve design and construction issues and provide technical guidance to ensure compliant documentation.

Your Role

As a Project Coordinator/Architectural Documenter, you will be the driving force in supporting the Project Architect with the delivery of documentation for architectural projects from inception to completion, with a strong focus on managing projects through the Design Development, Tender, and Construction phases. You'll play a key role in resolving complex design and construction issues, visualising designs, and ensuring our projects exceed client expectations, stay on schedule, and remain within budget. This dynamic position involves collaborating with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders, overseeing construction work on-site, and maintaining local construction knowledge to deliver outstanding architectural solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Documentation: Deliver comprehensive documentation for the Design Development, Tender, and Construction stages of a project, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, authorities, and consultants (including structural, services, civil, etc.) to ensure seamless coordination and compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Resolve design and construction issues, provide technical guidance, ensure a thorough understanding of code compliance to deliver a fully compliant set of design documentation.

What you will bring to the team

  • 5 years of studio experience in architecture in Australia.
  • Degree or diploma in Architecture.
  • Experience in structural & services coordination and reviewing consultants packages.
  • Thorough understanding of NCC and Australian Standards.
  • Experience in multi-residential/Class 2 or 3 buildings.
  • Experience in seniors living industry is a plus.
