Job summary

Adbri Cement is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to provide essential administrative and project support to our Project and Construction teams across all phases of delivery.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the role collaborates with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Finance to ensure accurate documentation, information flow, and financial processing tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction administration or project administration within the Australian construction/engineering industry.
  • Experience processing supplier invoices, financial reconciliation, and data entry.
  • Proficiency with SAP and MS Project is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and control project documentation, registers, start-up files, and close-out packages (including as-built manuals).
  • Manage high-volume invoice data entry (SAP) and verification against purchase orders and project cost codes with high accuracy.
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination, scheduling, transmittals, and correspondence.
  • Manage procurement and contract administrative support, including PO issuing, supplier quote requests, and subcontractor documentation approvals.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on project administrative matters.
  • Provide general business support, including collating reports.

Job description

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to provide vital administrative and project support to our Project and Construction teams throughout all phases of project delivery.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role works closely across Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance to ensure the efficient delivery of construction projects, maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting, coordinating project information flow, and managing financial processing tasks.

Please note this is an experienced project coordination role rather than an entry point into project management. No formal qualifications are required; however, a background in engineering is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, maintain, and control project documentation, registers, start-up files, and close-out packages (including as-built manuals)
  • Manage high-volume invoice data entry (SAP) and verification against purchase orders and project cost codes within our project management system, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination, scheduling, transmittal's, and correspondence
  • Manage procurement and contract administrative support, including purchase order issuing, supplier quote requests, and subcontractor documentation approvals
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on project administrative matters
  • Provide general business support, including collating reports
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Previous experience in construction administration or project administration, gained within the Australian construction/engineering industry – required
  • Experience processing supplier invoices, financial reconciliation, and data entry – required
  • SAP (high-level competency)
  • MS Project experience - essential
  • Power BI, including analysis
  • Document control (basic knowledge)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Exceptional organisational, planning, and time-management capabilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • An organised, proactive, and solution-focused approach, with a positive and collaborative attitude
