Job summary

Australian Department of Defence – Williamtown NSW is seeking a Project Scheduling Specialist within ASCISPO to support Air Force capability upgrades and complex activities at RAAF Base Williamtown. You will provide critical advice on scheduling, prioritise work streams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outcomes.

The role requires analytical planning, effective communication, and the ability to operate with limited supervision while ensuring compliance with international ITAR

Airborne Surveillance Control & Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW performs sustainment and major capability upgrades for Air Force's fleet. The Project will introduce the fleet through collaboration with coalition partners.

The position is responsible to:

• Assist with project scheduling, providing critical expert advice and assistance.
• Manage and supervise all project scheduling providing critical expert advice and assistance.
• Use initiative and experience to analyse, plan, review and adjust priorities and work activities to meet business outcomes.
• Undertake objective, systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence providing detailed technical, operational, professional and procedural advice for complex activities.
• Engage with stakeholders and manage stakeholders' expectations to deliver agreed project outcomes.

This role has been identified as requiring access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controlled technologies. The ITAR is United States (US) law that controls the manufacture, sale, use and access of defence and military end‑use articles on the United States Munitions List. It is the policy of the US to deny exports of ITAR controlled technologies to proscribed countries. This may also apply to access by persons who hold or have held a citizenship, or current permanent residency, of said countries. Defence utilises workforce mechanisms to mitigate these restrictions, which will require applicants provide details of all current citizenships and permanent residencies, as well as previously held citizenships. Defence collects citizenship details to confirm an applicant’s eligibility for the role and to maintain compliance with international obligations.
