Job summary

ACCIONA seeks a Project Controls Engineer to support planning, monitoring and control of cost, schedule and progress across major infrastructure projects in Australia. You will maintain schedules, track forecasts and budgets, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to keep controls information current.

You will develop reports, dashboards and performance metrics, identify risks and changes, and ensure data accuracy to support successful project

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a relevant engineering or management field.
• Experience in project controls, planning, scheduling or cost control.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project and Excel for reporting.

About the Opportunity

As Project Controls Engineer, you will support the planning, monitoring and control of project performance across cost, schedule, progress and forecasting. You will work closely with project teams to monitor performance, identify risks and variances, and provide accurate reporting that supports successful delivery. You will maintain project schedules, track cost commitments and forecasts, and support integration between engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities, working across multidisciplinary teams to keep project controls information accurate and current.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

• Support development and maintenance of project controls systems
• Maintain project schedules, milestones and deliverables
• Monitor progress against plan and identify variances and delays
• Monitor project costs, commitments, budgets and forecasts
• Prepare project controls reports, dashboards and performance metrics
• Support identification and tracking of project risks and changes
• Collaborate across engineering, procurement and construction teamsing

Required Skills and Competencies

What capability and experience will you need to have:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field
• Demonstrated experience in project controls, planning, scheduling or cost control
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equivalent
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting/data analysis tools
• Experience within multidisciplinary infrastructure or EPC project teams
