Job summary

ASIC is seeking a Project Accountant to provide financial information and insights to project managers and senior leadership. You will help monitor CapEx and OpEx, support budget controls and improve forecast accuracy across a multi-year RegistryConnect program.

You will partner with senior leaders and project teams, delivering clear financial analysis, highlighting variances and risks, and supporting governance reporting with ERP systems and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Business, Commerce or Finance, and/or CPA/CA desirable.
• Experience with management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Extensive project accounting with senior-manager partnership.
• Experience with ERP/BI: PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.
• Ability to present to senior executives and boards.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial information and advice to project managers and senior leadership.
• Monitor CapEx and OpEx performance and improve forecast accuracy.
• Analyse and report on financial performance, budgets, forecasts and key metrics.
• Present financial insights to senior leadership and board-level audiences.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and service delivery.
• Support Department of Finance and Treasury reporting requirements.
• Identify and mitigate financial and reputational risks.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist senior leadership with funding bids and financial papers.
