Job summary

Linkforce Engineering is seeking a Project Accountant to join the Projects Controls Team at our CBD head office in Perth. You will manage project transactions, budgets and forecasts, and support invoicing and reporting for mining and infrastructure projects.

The role requires 2+ years in project accounting, ERP/BI tool proficiency, and strong attention to detail under deadlines. Flexible working up to 2 days per week and a supportive onboarding program are offered as part of our modern office

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Project Accountant role.
• Understanding and application of project cost management principles.
• Ability to maintain quality and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy with ERP and reporting tools (Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, MS Office).
• Experience in a construction contractor within mining/resources is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile project-related transactions (cost, intercompany, A/P, A/R).
• Perform end-of-month closing, cost reconciliations, and margin postings.
• Set up and maintain project budgets from tenders and estimates.
• Review requisitions and commitments for cost coding compliance.
• Prepare monthly cost forecasts using updated data and PM inputs.
• Support monthly Contract Status Reports and forecast updates.
• Prepare client invoicing and supporting documentation.
• Manage and maintain project transactions.

The Role

We now have the opportunity for a Project Accountant to join our Projects Controls Team on a permanent full-time basis. Based at our CBD Head Office, you will be working collaboratively and closely with the entire team.

• Ensuring transactions are properly recorded, including but not limited to, cost, intercompany, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions for relevant business entities
• End of month accounting, involving cost reconciliations, timesheet reconciliations, journal posting and margin postings for relevant business entities
• Setting up and maintaining budgets for projects based on tender submissions, estimates and variations
• Reviewing of requisitions and commitments for compliance to project cost coding
• Preparing monthly cost forecasts for each project based on updated actual data, trends, consultations with Project Managers and Business Managers
• Assisting in producing monthly Contract Status Reports for each project and assist with maintaining forecast
• Preparation of client invoicing and supporting documentation
• Managing and maintaining project transactions

What You will Need

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Project Accountant role
• Understanding and application of project cost management principles
• Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and attention to detail when working to deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
• High levels of computer literacy including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and reporting systems like Pronto, Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Office suite
• Experience working for a construction contractor in the mining/resources industry is highly desirable
