Ventia is seeking a Project Accountant in North Sydney to support financial performance across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will manage month-end reporting, cost monitoring, and stakeholder engagement, delivering insights and robust financial data to drive decisions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a accounting degree, CA/CPA progress, and hands-on project accounting experience, with advanced Excel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification or working towards it.
• Experience in a Project Accountant or similar role.
• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP.

Responsabilidades

• Managing month-end reporting activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Monitoring project costs, profitability and financial performance.
• Investigating and resolving cost allocation and work order issues.
• Supporting billing processes and cash collection activities.
• Providing timely financial reporting and commercial insights to stakeholders.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and internal controls.
• Partnering with operational leaders to support informed decision-making.

About the Role

As a Project Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial performance of project portfolios through accurate reporting, forecasting, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing month-end reporting activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Monitoring project costs, profitability and financial performance
• Investigating and resolving cost allocation and work order issues
• Supporting billing processes and cash collection activitiesProviding timely financial reporting and commercial insights to stakeholders
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and internal controls
• Partnering with operational leaders to support informed decision-making

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards)
• Experience in a Project Accountant, Management Accountant or similar role
• Strong SAPand ARIBA experience
• Solid understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and financial modelling
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
