Job summary

Ventia is hiring a Trade Assistant to support our Western Sydney Airport Facilities Management contract. This full-time on-site role involves assisting tradespersons, general labouring, and maintenance tasks within a dynamic team at the airport site.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, good communication, and prior labouring or trade assistant experience. A current driver's licence and ability to obtain a Police Check are required.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Previous labouring, maintenance or trade assistant experience desirable.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespersons with maintenance works.
• Provide general labouring and maintenance support.
• Undertake maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with minor maintenance and repairs within competency.
• Move materials, tools and equipment across site.
• Complete work orders and documentation as required.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards and defects.
• Support contractors and other maintenance personnel on site.
• Contribute to a safe, professional and customer-focused workplace.

Join Ventia as an Trade Assistant supporting our exciting Western Sydney Airport Facilities Management contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects while working with a supportive team based full-time on site at Western Sydney Airport.

Responsibilities will include:
