Job summary

About The Role

We’re looking for a creative and motivated casual Programs & Activities Officer to join our team at the Melbourne Immigration Detention Centre. This is a casual position, and the number of shifts available each week will vary depending on operational needs.

If you have a background in education, cooking, fitness, or hairdressing, this is your chance to share your skills in a meaningful way - supporting detainees to build confidence, learn, and grow.

You’ll deliver practical, skills-based sessions that support detainee wellbeing and engagement. From life skills to cooking programs, you’ll help design and facilitate activities that make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities
