Job summary

Davidson seeks an experienced Program Test Manager to lead the end-to-end testing strategy for a large-scale Billing Program in Melbourne. You will oversee functional, automation, integration, regression, UAT, performance and security testing, ensuring test coverage aligns with program objectives.

You will manage testing teams, drive adoption of AQM and Playwright, coordinate data migration testing, and provide evidence-based releases governance to senior stakeholders.

About the Role

The Program Test Manager will lead the end-to-end testing strategy and delivery for a large-scale Billing Program, overseeing functional, automation, integration, regression, UAT, performance, security and industry testing.

The role will lead testing teams, drive the implementation and adoption of AQM and Playwright, and ensure data migration testing is integrated into the overall program test plan.

With accountability for testing budgets, resources, vendors and quality governance, the Program Test Manager will provide clear reporting, manage testing risks and deliver evidence-based recommendations to support successful program releases.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Program Test Manager with a strong background in leading testing functions across large, complex transformation programs.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Experience within the energy, utilities or regulated infrastructure sectors, particularly billing, metering or market systems.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary testing teams of 15+ resources across multiple delivery streams.
• Strong experience developing test strategies and overseeing functional, automation, integration, end-to-end, regression, UAT and non-functional testing.
• Experience implementing or upgrading test management and automation tools, frameworks and processes.
• Strong capability in managing testing budgets, resources, vendors, forecasts and delivery risks.
• Experience in defect governance, quality reporting, test traceability and providing release-readiness recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to drive quality outcomes in complex delivery environments.

Highly desirable

• Exposure to AQM, Playwright, Python and SQL for test management, automation and data validation.
• Experience with large-scale billing transformations, data migration testing, complex integrations and major cutover activities.
