Job summary

Downer Professional Services is supporting Australia’s naval capability through complex defence programs and acquisition projects. The Program Support Officer role focuses on sustainment, risk management, and ILS activities for Royal Australian Navy programs, with exposure to acquisition and international stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Interest or experience in Defence, sustainment, logistics, engineering, acquisition or project support environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• An understanding of, or willingness to develop expertise in, risk management, ILS, configuration management and through-life support.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence preparing reports, briefings and program documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sustainment activities across programs.
• Support risk reviews and maintain technical data.
• Assist with software and capability updates and integration efforts.
• Engage with Defence, Navy, industry and international stakeholders.
• Contribute to acquisition transition planning and through-life support initiatives.
