Job summary

Leidos Australia in Canberra is seeking a Program Operations Coordinator to provide day-to-day coordination, administrative and operational support across Defence Digital Modernisation. You will act as the operational backbone for key program activities, ensuring information accuracy, process adherence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include driving process improvements, providing secretariat support, managing compliance, coordinating change control, and supporting program reporting

  • Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiar with reporting/workflow tools.

The Opportunity

The Program Operations Coordinator provides day‑to‑day coordination, administrative and operational support services across Defence Digital Modernisation. As the operational backbone behind key program activities, you will help ensure information is accurate, processes are followed and continuous improvement opportunities are identified and implemented.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives that strengthen program efficiency.
  • Provide secretariat support, including meeting coordination, agendas and minutes.
  • Manage compliance activities and ensure documentation and processes meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate program change control activities, including tracking actions, approvals and updates.
  • Support program reporting, data calls and maintenance of program and resource management information to ensure accurate stakeholder reporting.
About You

We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage positively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, with familiarity using reporting or workflow tools.
  • Demonstrated initiative, resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A collaborative and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and provide continuity support when required.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain, NV-1 security clearance.
