Job summary

The Department of Health in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a Program Officer – Education to support the planning, development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of immunisation education and training initiatives that contribute to the effectiveness of Western Australia’s Immunisation Program.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders, provide specialist educational support to promote best practice immunisation knowledge and improve immunisation outcomes across the health

Responsibilities

• Position Profile: The Program Officer – Education is responsible for supporting the planning, development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of immunisation education and training initiatives that contribute to the effectiveness of Western Australia's Immunisation Program.
• Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the position provides specialist educational support and advice to promote best practice immunisation knowledge and improve immunisation outcomes across the health sector and broader community.
• The role contributes to the development of high-quality educational resources, training programs and communication materials, and assists in the coordination of education activities that support immunisation policy, practice and workforce capability.

Job description

As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre‑employment health assessment.
