Job summary

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is seeking an APS4 Program Officer to provide essential administrative, logistical and coordination support for the Murra Program, a student placement initiative for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, participant engagement and records management.

Qualifications

• Experience in program support preferred.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer recruitment, onboarding and employment documentation for students.
• Coordinate student placements, meetings and events.
• Maintain program records and reporting.
• Respond to participant and supervisor enquiries.
• Prepare routine correspondence and communication materials.
• Coordinate Journey Sessions, Yarning Circles and engagement activities.
• Support relationships with universities and internal stakeholders.
• Escalate complex participant or program issues to the Assistant Director.
• Provide administrative support across other entry‑level programs as required.
