Job summary

Agri Talent Pty is seeking an experienced leader or senior program professional to manage sustainable agriculture initiatives within the sugarcane sector. Based in Mackay or Proserpine, the role combines team leadership, program oversight, financial accountability and stakeholder engagement.

You will guide a developing team while maintaining strong relationships with industry and funding partners. Hybrid working up to two days from home per week is available.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership capability, including mentoring, developing and supporting teams.
• Experience managing programs, budgets, funding agreements and delivery commitments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Sound commercial judgement, resilience and the ability to navigate complex priorities.
• Experience in agriculture, NRM or related programs desirable; specialist sugarcane knowledge is not mandatory.

• Oversee funded agricultural programs, budgets, delivery milestones and contractual obligations.

Working with landholders, industry and funding partners, the organisation supports practical improvements in agricultural management and water quality.

Benefits Base salary of $120,000–$140,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience. Hybrid working up to two days working from home per week.
