Job summary

Reef Catchments Limited is seeking a Manager - Sugarcane to lead the planning, resourcing and delivery of the Sugarcane sub-program across the Mackay Whitsunday Isaac region. You will align priorities with the program director and oversee budgets, workforce requirements, and reporting to achieve natural resource management and sustainable agriculture outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading programs or a portfolio of projects with planning, resourcing, budgets, delivery, monitoring and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading staff and managing recruitment, performance, workforce planning and capability development.
  • Experience managing project or program obligations, quality assurance, reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to build productive relationships with community, industry, government and other delivery partners, including occasional weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, resourcing and delivery of Sugarcane sub-programs and projects.
  • Lead, support and develop the Sugarcane team, including workforce planning and performance management.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, milestones, risks and funding obligations to ensure delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sugarcane growers, industry, government, Traditional Owners and researchers.
  • Support landholder practice change and delivery of sustainable agriculture and water-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee monitoring, reporting and quality assurance to meet funding and organisational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for future funding, partnerships and program development.
  • Represent Reef Catchments at relevant industry and community forums.
  • Provide advice to the Program Director on performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
  • Ensure safety and compliance of the team and delivery partners with WHS, funding and organisational requirements.
