Job summary

Primary Connect, part of the Woolworths Group, seeks an experienced Project Leader to drive Tier 1 supply chain projects ranging $100 million to $1 billion. You will coordinate DC Design, Property, IT, and other streams to deliver design, build, commissioning and benefits realisation.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, report progress, and ensure governance across departments within Woolworths' project framework. Hybrid work options available, with interstate travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Supply Chain project delivery experience, within FMCG/ Retail sector.
• Knowledge of development, construction and business readiness of large scale warehousing facilities.
• Experience managing multiple teams to achieve deliverables.
• Collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and be resilient on extended projects.
• Willingness to travel interstate as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from design to ramp-up.
• Lead a broad team of streams including DC Design, Property, IT, Replenishment, Commercial, Network Design, Business Readiness, Change & Communications, Legal and external suppliers.
• Challenge decisions while ensuring governance, reporting progress, risks, issues, and financials.
• Oversee fit-outs for new warehouses with on-site presence and safety reviews.
• Collaborate with internal customers and other Woolworths Group units.

What you’ll do

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, including detailed design, construction, operational delivery, and volume ramp-up.
• Manage a broad team of stream leads including (but not limited to) DC Design, Property, IT, Replenishment, Commercial, Network Design, Business Readiness, Change and Communications, Legal as well as external suppliers to deliver the Design, Build, Commissioning of the new operation and Benefits realisation of Tier 1 Infrastructure Project
• Challenge decisions whilst ensuring robust decision-making is made, reporting progress, risks, issues, and financials across departments, maintaining governance, and adhering to Woolworths' project management framework.
• Facilitate the implementation of fit-outs for new warehouses through on-site presence, including managing contractor inductions, reviewing relevant Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and work plans, and coordinating with the site facilities and operations teams.
• Work collaboratively with internal customers, the broader Primary Connect team, and other Woolworths Group business units.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years Supply Chain project delivery experience, within the FMCG / Retail Sector
• Sound knowledge of the development , construction, and business readiness of large scale warehousing or distribution facilities as well as those streams feeding into the project including DC Operations, Property Development, IT Systems and Infrastructure, Transport Development, DC Design, Safety, Change Management and Transition Planning
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple teams to achieve the agreed deliverables
• A collaborative approach to achieving outcomes. This will be a team effort. Interpersonal relationship skills are essential
• Ability to work under pressure and to be resilient across an extended project
• Flexibility for periodic interstate travel (as project demands require) is expected
