Job summary

Quality People is urgently seeking a Program Finance Specialist for a 12-month contract in Darwin, Australia. The role focuses on developing and maintaining technical financial models to support budget management for Programs and Projects, with frequent reporting to key stakeholders.

• Consolidate and analyse financial data and budgets and provide monthly reporting to committees and stakeholders.
• Develop project and program budgets for current and outer years in collaboration with Directors.
• Understand accounting for intangible IT assets and assess related financial implications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of forecasting, corporate finance, project finance appraisals and information analysis; government experience is advantageous.

Job description

Our client URGENTLY requires Program Finance Specialist for 12months + Contracts in Darwin.

The Program Finance Specialist will be required to develop and maintain technical financial models to assist with budget management of Programs and Projects, as well as provide a range of financial information to key stakeholders on a frequent basis.

Skills and Experience required includes:

• Consolidate and analyse financial data and budgets, provide monthly financial reporting including commentary to various committees and stakeholders.
• Will work alongside with Directors to develop Project and Program budgets for current financial year and outer years.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting methodologies for intangible assets, specifically regarding IT projects.
• Proven knowledge of financial principles including forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, project finance appraisals and information analysis.

Government experience would be highly advantageous.
