Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a seasoned Project Manager in Perth, WA, to lead a multi-disciplinary team on major infrastructure and aviation projects. The role includes monitoring contractor planning, safety, quality, and turnover, interfacing with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project policies and schedules.

You will oversee procurement, tendering, and design input, driving timely delivery while maintaining safety and environmental standards across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience managing major infrastructure and aviation projects.
• Knowledge of health, safety, quality and environment regulations and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead and influence across large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Manages project planning and execution for assigned scope.
• Program Director provides cohesive leadership to ensure safe, timely delivery.
• Oversees preparation of consolidated tender documents with input from designers and service providers.
• Participates in procurement evaluations and recommendations to award.
• Manages construction through commissioning and ORAT support to meet safety, environmental, and budget requirements.
• Ensures contractor adherence to contract reporting and change management processes.
• Leadership responsibilities include staffing decisions, performance appraisals, and staff training.
• Participates in planning, budgeting and board reporting.
