Job summary

Placemaking NSW is seeking a Program Delivery and Stakeholder Coordinator for a permanent part-time role (24.5 hours per week) based at the Chinese Garden of Friendship, Darling Harbour. You will coordinate events, programs, venue activities and stakeholder engagement to deliver memorable visitor experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating events, programs, venue activities or community initiatives, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, community groups, cultural organisations, partners and visitors.
• Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage bookings, logistics, administration and event delivery in a busy environment.
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach, with sound problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding visitor experiences.
• An eagerness to learn, contribute new ideas and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and communities.
• The ability to speak Mandarin would be highly regarded.

• Balance competing priorities, coordinate logistics and build strong relationships with community groups, cultural organisations, partners and visitors.
• Contribute to delivering memorable visitor experiences and fostering cultural exchange, learning and community connection.
• Work across events, bookings, administration and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role

In this varied role, you'll coordinate events, programs, venue activities and stakeholder engagement while supporting the day-to-day operations of one of Sydney's most unique cultural destinations. You'll play an important part in creating memorable visitor experiences and fostering cultural exchange, learning and community connection. Working across events, bookings, administration and stakeholder engagement, you'll balance competing priorities, coordinate logistics and build strong relationships with community groups, cultural organisations, partners and visitors. Placemaking NSW is responsible for managing and caring for some of Sydney’s most iconic harbourside venues and locations, including The Rocks, Circular Quay, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Sydney Fish Markets Public Spaces and White Bay Power Station. We also lead the planning and delivery of the Bays West Urban Renewal Precinct, a state significant project that will bring new homes, jobs, and public spaces to 77 hectares of government-owned land just 2 kilometres from Sydney's CBD.
