Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Change Officer to support the Program Change Manager within the Combat System Delivery team. The role focuses on planning and processing changes through Change Boards, and delivering a standardised Change Management framework across stakeholders.

Key requirements include 2–5 years of project administration in Defence, awareness of change management, and the ability to obtain NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of administrative experience in a project environment (essential) in Defence industry (preferable).
  • Awareness of Configuration control and/or Change Management.
  • Experience in major defence or construction projects.
  • Experience using PLM tools and other ERP tools.
  • Must be able to gain and hold an NV1 defence security accreditation and meet other requirements for access to export controlled data.
  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Change Manager and stakeholders in managing program change.
  • Ensure that changes through Change Boards are planned, managed and processed effectively, including preparation and distribution of agenda/minutes and tracking actions.
  • Capture the impact of change through analysis and reporting.
  • Support a standardised Project Change Management Framework across all stakeholders including IM&T infrastructure.
  • Provide guidance on the Change Management Framework for standardised application of change processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to enable effective control of change across the Program (Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Operations).

Job description

The Change Officer will support the Program Change Manager and all stakeholders in managing program change as a of part of the Combat System (CS) Delivery team.

Further, the successful candidate will:

Ensure that change sentenced through the Change Boards is planned, managed and processed efficiently and effectively. Including the preparation and distribution of agenda and minutes for the Change Boards, and managing actions from the Change Boards.

Capture the Impact of Change, through analysis and reporting.

Support the Delivery of an overall standardised and repeatable Project Change Management Framework / Organisation across all stakeholders; inclusive of IM&T infrastructure.

Be able to provide guidance to stakeholders on the overall Change Management Framework to enable a standardised and consistent application of the change processes.

Work closely with the all stakeholders to enable the effective control of change across the Program (including Engineering, Program Management, Finance and Operations).

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:
