Job summary

CQUniversity invites applications for an Academic Level E position in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, with multiple locations including Cairns, Mackay, Townsville or Rockhampton. Relocation support is available for the successful candidate.

The appointee will lead high‑level teaching and research activities, advance nursing education, mentor staff and collaborate with industry partners to enhance regional health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) plus significant experience in nursing.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA and evidence of meeting NMBA Recency of Practice requirements.
• Extensive academic, research and industry experience, with a distinguished record of achievement in nursing education and scholarship.
• Demonstrated success in leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams, mentoring academic staff and driving strategic teaching and research outcomes.
• Distinguished research profile, evidenced by high-quality publications, successful supervision of Higher Degree by Research candidates and a strong record of competitive research funding success.
• Established national and international standing in the profession, demonstrated through leadership, research collaboration and engagement with professional bodies and key stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence the direction of nursing education, research and professional practice through strategic partnerships with industry, government and the broader community.

• Academic Level E: Total Remuneration $247,655 pa (including salary of $209,272 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
