Job summary

CQUniversity Australia invites applications for an Associate Professor in Nursing. You will provide academic leadership within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences, guiding teaching strategy, curriculum development and research direction across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

You will lead course delivery, supervise HDR candidates and build partnerships with healthcare providers and professional bodies to advance nursing education and research.

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
  • Excellence in teaching, supervision and curriculum development across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education.
  • Established research profile with publications and funding success.
  • Proven leadership in research, teaching and academic governance, with mentoring experience.
  • Strong industry and community engagement and network development.
  • Internationally recognised contributions to the nursing discipline.

  • Academic Level D: Total Remuneration $196,588 to $214,609 pa (including salary of $166,120 to $181,348 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Position Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching, supervision and curriculum development across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education.
  • Established research profile, including publication in high-quality journals and success in securing competitive research funding.
  • Proven leadership capability in research, teaching and/or academic governance, with a commitment to mentoring colleagues and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Strong industry and community engagement, with the ability to develop and maintain effective professional partnerships and networks.
  • Internationally recognised contributions to the discipline and a demonstrated commitment to advancing the nursing profession.
