Job summary

McCormick is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our packaging team at the Palmwoods site on the Sunshine Coast. This full-time role requires you to work primarily on the afternoon shift roster and lead a team of production operators to meet safety, quality and efficiency targets.

You will drive process optimization, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration to help deliver high‑quality products to customers worldwide.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our packaging team the Operations Manager based at our Palmwoods site on the Sunshine Coast.

This position requires the Supervisor to work primarily on the afternoon shift roster.

About the Role

As a Production Supervisor at McCormick, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality are maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

Team Leadership: Motivate and lead a team of production operators, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Process Optimization: Implement best practices to enhance production efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.

Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed McCormick's rigorous quality standards.

Safety Compliance: Champion a safety-first culture by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular training, and promoting a safe work environment.

Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for cost savings, enhanced productivity, and process optimization.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication channels with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and coordination across departments.

About You

• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety protocols.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in TPM systems.
• Ability to complete and coach RCA activities.
