Job summary

McCormick Australia is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Fitter) to join our fast-moving consumer goods site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and carry out repairs across packaging and process equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience in FMCG environments, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a willingness to contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous

Qualifications

• Experience in a FMCG environment preferred.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, breakdown diagnosis, and repairs.
• Willingness to lead process improvement projects and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns across packaging lines and utilities.
• Lead or participate in process improvement projects to meet KPI targets.

About The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, working closely with the maintenance planner, the working week will consist of Monday to Friday with the requirement to have flexibility to work on day and afternoon shift with the request to work Saturdays. You will be responsible to perform preventive maintenance, breakdown and repairs. Ideally you have worked in a FMCG environment and willing to grow your skills and have high energy and enthusiasm to grow with the company as it expands. In this role you will have opportunities to lead and be a part of process improvement projects to help achieve business KPI's.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in;

• S/S Welding


• Pumps, gearboxes and motors


• high speed packaging machinery, and have;


• A high level of problem solving and fault-finding skills


• The ability to work unsupervised


• Exposure to lean manufacturing principles
