Job summary

Adecco Australia Group is recruiting a Serial Production Controller / Production Planner for Ballarat, VIC. You will schedule and control daily production in line with the Master Production Schedule, coordinating with suppliers, procurement, and project teams to keep output on track.

Your background includes 1–2 years in production planning or manufacturing scheduling, experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to resolve issues and maintain schedule

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor production work orders in line with the schedule.
• Release work orders to ensure on-time production.
• Liaise across planning, supply chain, logistics, QA, and manufacturing.
• Monitor material availability to keep production supplied.
• Track progress and resolve issues delaying production.
• Provide feedback to planners on constraints and impacts.
• Support improvements to address production and material issues.
• Maintain production data: work orders, BOMs, routings.
• Coordinate subcontracted work within deadlines.
• Participate in production meetings and uphold safety and quality standards.
• Drive on-time completion and minimize WIP.

Serial Production Controller/Production Planner

Are you an experienced production planning or manufacturingprofessional looking to play a key role in ensuring production success? Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Serial ProductionController / Production Planner to join their team in Ballarat, VIC.

Our client is a global leader in rail transport solutions,designing, manufacturing, and maintaining rolling stock, including high-speedtrains and digital mobility solutions.

Responsibilities

Working closely with suppliers, procurement, logistics, andproject teams, you will schedule and control the daily operations on theproduction line, so that they are manufactured on time in accordance with the Master Production Schedule. This is a key support function for manufacturing.

Your day-to-dayresponsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and monitorproduction work orders in line with the manufacturing schedule.
• Schedule and release workorders to ensure on-time production.
• Liaise between planning,supply chain, logistics, quality, and manufacturing teams to support smoothoperations.
• Monitor materialavailability and ensure a continuous supply to production lines.
• Track work order progressand resolve issues affecting production, such as material shortages, qualityconcerns, or technical problems.
• Provide regular feedback toplanners on production constraints and schedule impacts.
• Support improvementinitiatives to address production and material-related issues.
• Maintain accurate productiondata, including work orders, material consumption, BOMs, and routings.
• Coordinate subcontractedwork to ensure completion within required timeframes.
• Participate in productionmeetings and promote safety, quality, and operational performance standards.
• Drive on-time work ordercompletion and help minimise work in progress (WIP).

Your Profile

• 1-2 years'experience in Production Planning, Production Control, ManufacturingScheduling, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing priorities.
• A qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
• Experience using ERP systems (preferably SAP) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate across production, planning, logistics, quality, andoperations teams.
• Ability toidentify production constraints and drive solutions to maintain schedule adherence.
