Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment client in Blacktown, NSW is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a large manufacturing operation, overseeing machining and assembly and directing a 70+ person workforce. You will drive production planning to meet customer and business targets while collaborating with maintenance and quality teams.

You will bring strong leadership, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a proven track record of achieving KPIs, safety standards and continuous improvement

Production Manager| Blacktown | $125,000 + Super | Full-Time | Lead a high-performing manufacturing operation and make a real impact.

Our client is an Australian-owned manufacturing business with an established reputation for producing market-leading building products supplied to customers across Australia.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of the site's machining and assembly operations and lead a workforce of more than 70 employees.

You will lead the machining and assembly functions, working closely with production, maintenance, quality and other key stakeholders to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Proven experience managing a manufacturing or fabrication operation
• Experience leading a workforce of 50+ employees, ideally within a larger production environment
• Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly or similar manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated experience managing production targets, KPIs and operational performance
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing
• A strong understanding of workplace health & safety and quality systems
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proven track record of continuous improvement and process optimisation
