Job summary

Marlow & Peach Pty Ltd in Springvale, VIC is expanding with a new automated filling and labelling line. We are seeking a Production Line Operator to help set up, run and look after the line, and to mix batches of product.

You will receive full manufacturer training on the line, work in a small direct team alongside the owners, and see your input help shape how we scale in 2027. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, day shift with on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience on a filling and capping line or similar automated production equipment.
• Comfortable around conveyors, pneumatic equipment and air compressors.
• Experience batching ingredients to a written formula.
• Experience handling chemicals or fragrance materials safely.
• Familiarity with batch coding or date coding.
• Reliable and punctual, able to follow a written procedure.
• Physically capable: standing for a full shift and lifting up to 20 kg.
• Basic numeracy for weighing to a batch sheet.
• Experience in food, cosmetics, cleaning products or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the automated filling, capping, batch coding and labelling line.
• Load bottles, monitor the line, clear jams and keep it moving.
• Carry out changeovers between products and bottle sizes.
• Weigh and mix batches of product to a batch sheet using scales and a mixer.
• Handle raw materials and fragrance oils safely following SDS.
• Carry out in-process quality checks and record results.
• Clean down the line and mixing vessels between runs.
• Carton, palletise and label finished goods.
• Do basic daily checks on the line and air compressor.
• Keep the production area clean, safe and organised.

Job description

Marlow & Peach is a fast-growing Australian home fragrance and cleaning products brand, selling direct to customers across the country. We make our products ourselves at our warehouse in Springvale, and we're about to take a big step up: a new automated filling, capping, batch coding and labelling line is arriving in September, alongside new 200L stainless mixing vessels.

We're looking for a Production Line Operator to help us run it.

The role

You'll work alongside our existing production team member to set up, run and look after the new line, and to mix batches of product. Full manufacturer training on the line is provided - you'll be in the room for it.

Day to day you'll:

Set up and run the automated filling, capping, batch coding and labelling line

Load bottles, monitor the line, clear jams and keep it moving

Carry out changeovers between products and bottle sizes

Weigh and mix batches of product to a batch sheet, using platform scales and a mechanical agitator

Handle raw materials and fragrance oils safely, following SDS and handling procedures

Carry out in-process quality checks - fill weight, cap seating, label placement, batch codes - and record them

Clean down the line and mixing vessels between runs

Carton, palletise and label finished goods

Do basic daily checks on the line and air compressor

Keep the production area clean, safe and organised

What we're looking for

Experience on a filling and capping line, packaging line, or similar automated production equipment

Comfortable working around conveyors, pneumatic equipment and air compressors

Experience mixing or batching ingredients to a written formula

Experience handling chemicals or fragrance materials safely

Familiarity with batch coding or date coding

Reliable and punctual, and able to follow a written procedure without cutting corners

Notices when something isn't right and stops to fix it rather than pushing on

Physically capable: standing for a full shift, lifting up to 20kg

Basic numeracy for weighing to a batch sheet

Experience in food, cosmetics, cleaning products or pharmaceutical manufacturing is highly regarded.

$65,000 - $75,000 + super, depending on experience
