Zusammenfassung

Thiess is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join the Caval Ridge Mine team. You will provide strong operational and safety leadership to the production crew, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently. This is a 7/7 roster on a 12.5-hour shift pattern with full-time employment.

You will support the Production Supervisor, coordinate crews and equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining a safe workplace and compliance with standards.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as Leading Hand or Step-Up Supervisor in open-cut coal mining is highly valued.
• Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills with a friendly and motivational approach.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Relevant qualifications in the coal mining industry.
• Current S123 and G2 certifications, Current Standard 11, and a valid Drivers Licence.

Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to join our high-performing team at Caval Ridge Mine.

As a key member of the Caval Ridge team, you will provide strong operational and safety leadership to the production crew, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently. You will play a critical role in fostering a positive safety culture, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace and ensuring compliance with community and environmental standards.

Roster: 7/7 | Location: Caval Ridge Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Full Time

As the Leading Hand you will:

• Support the Production Supervisor by leading a mining crew to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
• Step up as a supervisor when needed.

About you

• Experience as a Step-Up Supervisor or Leading Hand in open-cut coal mining is highly valued.
• Solid understanding of open-cut coal mining operations.
• Strong organisational, communication, and presentation skills with a friendly and motivational approach.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Relevant qualifications in the coal mining industry.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Verified machinery skills list (training transcripts) LMS documents, signed by SSE or Delegate.
• Current S123 and G2 certifications
• Current Standard 11
• Current Drivers Licence
