Job summary

Blaze Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Production Leading Hand for a well-established food manufacturing operation in the western suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. This hands-on leadership role supports the Production Manager and oversees daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-driven output.

You will lead shifts, monitor targets, maintain WHS and HACCP compliance, and assist with training of production staff. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leading hand or supervisory role within food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality systems
• Confident in leading teams and making floor decisions
• Mechanically minded with basic maintenance knowledge (desirable)
• Full Australian working rights

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production staff on shift
• Ensure production targets are met in line with the production plan
• Monitor process controls and complete production and quality records
• Maintain compliance with WHS, Quality, and HACCP systems
• Identify and report product, process, or quality issues
• Support stock control, storage, and distribution activities
• Ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean and operational
• Assist with training and development of production staff

We are currently seeking a Production Leading Hand for our client, a well-established food manufacturing business located in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting the Production Manager and overseeing day-to-day production operations to ensure product is manufactured safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in a leading hand or supervisory role within food or beverage manufacturing
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality systems
• Confident leading teams and making decisions on the production floor
• Mechanically minded with basic maintenance knowledge (desirable)
• Full Australian working rights
